Fortune has smiled on me once again. I leave tomorrow morning for Barcelona. This time on a very last minute schedule. Agenda includes:
- Informational interviews at ESADE and IESE
- Catching up with friends (Julian, Helga, Juan and family, Liz and family)
- La Merce
- Wine tasting and travel with my Dad
- Another ’bout of reluctant optimism that I’ll be able to live there one day

5. Prices have gone up another 5-10% all around
4. Drinking and smoking age has been raised to 18 …
3. … and they enforce it
2. Smoking has been banned in most locations
and the #1 reason Barcelona is worse this year than it was last year…
1. La Paloma dance club has been closed indefinitely due to complaints of noise violations by its neighbors.
The fact that they even have such a thing in noise violations in Spain is absurd! My catalan friend even admitted it, Barcelona gets more and more American every single year. What that means: less unique, less spanish, less radical, more laws, more BS to get in the way of living the free and easy life Spain has always championed. What is happening to Spain!?
